Purpose:
The Children’s Ministry of Hope Springs exists to plant spiritual seeds, introduce kids to Jesus and to help kids grow in faith.
Summary:
The Children’s Ministry is an exciting way to get involved at Hope Springs because you are surrounded by the exuberance of children as they learn about our great God. Opportunities to serve include:
-greeting children and families as they arrive
-facilitating secure check-in that keeps the area a safe place for kids
-serving in a classroom as a teacher or teachers assistant
-caring for and loving on babies in the nursery
-helping out with worship, drama, bible stories, crafts or games
-setting up or cleaning up classroom
-sanitizing toys and surfaces in the infant room
It is so important for our kids to know the love of God at an early age. Serving in the Children’s Ministry can make all the difference.
Commitment:
Begin by arranging a visit to our Children’s Ministry one Sunday to see what we do. Our volunteers are scheduled to serve either once a month or for a full month at a time with two months off depending on their role. Arrival time for teachers, assistants, and check-in desk workers is 10:20 am on the Sundays they are scheduled to serve. Children’s Team workers typically finish up 15 minutes after the conclusion of the adult worship service when all kid have been picked up and rooms are put in order. Detailed lesson plans and activities are provided for each classroom. For safety reasons, all positions involving interacting with kids in the Children’s Ministry require a background check.
